As you guys know my 5yr old Jonah was recently diagnosed with Diabetes and takes 4-5 shots daily. He was really upset a month later when he was talking about becoming a Marine and I told him that he couldn't because of his Diabetes.

Well, PMEL_DEVIL-DOG proved me wrong. He went as far as having a USMC Major @ Keesler AFB make him an honorary Lance Corporal and sent him a set of BDU's with his name on them. Jonah also recieved a Certificate of Promotion to the rank of Lance Corporal from the command. Jonah also was loaded down with USMC stickers and a USMC Coin. Jonah recieved all of this stuff today.

Jonah is on cloud 9 and I don't think I will be able to get his BDU's off before bed.

I want to thank PMEL_DEVIL-DOG (Leon) in this public forum. As all good Marines he went way above the call of duty. Leon went out of his way to make a boy that he doesn't know become what he really wants to be.

Jonah wants me to type a message for him. Jonah said " Thank you Mr. Leon. I love being a Marine. I love you."

No prob, Coup! It was a plesure! But the Marine who made all possible was MSgt Richard Prather. He was great help and spearheaded the whole event.
