John Kerry blasted the troops in iraq as being stupid and uneducated. He says that it was a joke gone bad. I would be inclined to believe him , but this is not the first time he has said something to that effect. In his 1972 bid for congress he said "I am convinced a volunteer army would be an army of the poor and the black and the brown," Kerry wrote. "We must not repeat the travesty of the inequities present during Vietnam. I also fear having a professional army that views the perpetuation of war crimes as simply 'doing its job.' Of course there are a few more comments that he made blasting the military in the past as well like " the U.S. Military is terrorizing the women and children of Iraq".
He meant what he said. He is calling it a blooper because he was caught. On top of all that, many of the Democrat websites are backing him and agreeing with this statement. The biggest enemy of the U.S. is the Democratic Party. :x

We do disagree on part of this.  I am no fan of kerry.  On the other hand, the real enemy of the U.S. is bush and his cronies

Tater,

Could it be any worse?  I was a Marine in Vietnam in '72....an obvious lost cause - and no one wanted to be the last fool to die there....

This Iraq disaster has been sickening....I personally don't want any more American or Australian..or any coalition lives period...wasted on this clownshow...Fine, invade and put them out of business.  But incredibly stupid to stay and think these animals can be civilized and turned into democratic disciples of the West.

They are not worth it...bring the troops home...solve future problems with Tridents...

What exactly has the Bush admin. done to be deemed "enemies"? I totally disagree with Bush's immagration idea's, but I hardly see anything that would warrent him to  be an enemy. I don't believe "cut and running" would be a logical decision to make either. Iraq is not a disaster unless you are easily duped by the media and those who are politizing the war. I hear Democrats and opponants of the war complaining that the war is not being lead correctly, but I never hear any of them offering any solutions. This is typical from those who want to use our men and women in uniform as a source of political retoric. For those who believe that we should have never gone to Iraq in the first place are saying that Saddam should still be in power and commiting genocide. Looking at the news today Saddam was just convicted by a jury of his own peers of crimes consisting of Genocide. Are some of you saying that we should have let this continue? Are you saying that we should have never fought Adolf Hitler for doing the same thing? We had 100's of times the casualties in the europien theater of WWII than the current war with Iraq. I do agree that Iraqis are an uncivilized people. However, why are they dancing in the streets today with the verdict past upon Sadaam? Why are they happy? It is true that they don't want us there now. I don't want our troops to be there either, but I also believe that you finish what you started. We cannot leave right now. If we leave right now we will end up having to go back in a few years and do it all over again. The policy of " cut and Run" is one without logic and is not a viable option. Yes this war sucks as do all wars. I am glad that some of you weren't serving under George Washington during the Revolutionary War. Before the battle of Trenton many people of the 13 colonies gave up and said it was a lost cause. We almost lost that war that created our great nation. However, Washington knew that he had to stay the course in order to win. I am glad that he was not a " cut and run " liberal. Maybe some of us need to stand back and see the big picture and stop listening to those who have turned this war into a political war. Doing what is right and just is not always the most popular thing to do ( just ask G. Washington ). I have also heard the argument that what Saddam was doing ( genocide ) was none of our business. If this is the case then what business of ours was WWII Europien Theater? What business of ours was the North interfearing with the South during the civil war? I know that the civil war was primarily about tarrifs on cotton. However, slavery was also an issue. What business was it of Lincoln to fight for the ending of slavery? It didn't effect him or the nation? He did it becuase it was the right thing to do. Freeing the people of Iraq from the tyrany of Saddam was the right thing to do as well. Are we to change our Declaration of Independence to state " All men are created equal... and have the right to freedom, unless it is not popular"? Those that oppose this war are suggesting as much. I beleive that every man, woman and child should be free and that those of us that are free should do whatever we can to insure their freedom regardless of race, creed or nationality. I am a patriot of freedom and it is obvious that some of you are not. Some of you would hate me because I believe that when we are done with Iraq we need to free the people of Sudan. I hope that you all enjoy your weekend of freedom while others around the world are suffering under tyrantical regimes. I am sure that their suffering will not even cross your mind while you are sitting on the couch watching your football game. Why should it, it's not your problem.
