We've all been stationed at bases that were NOT called by their real names by the people stationed there.  What are your favorites?

For example:

F.E. Warren AFB, WY =  "F.E. Burn 'em"  (It's an ICBM base- go figure!)

Ramstein AB, Germany = "Ramshaft," or "Headquarters Unsafe" (in lieu of Headquarters USAFE)

Sembach AB, Germany = "Sum Bitch"
If it works, it's a Fluke.

We used to say that about F.E. Warren AFB, as well.  My uncle (retired USAF) saw me at a family reunion years ago, and inquired as to my current location.  When I told him I was in Cheyenne, WY, he said "Man!  That's out in the middle of nowhere!"

I said "No, it's not in the middle of nowhere, but you can see it from there..."
If it works, it's a Fluke.
