M-F, 1st Shift, 8 Hours, may start from 6 AM to 9 AM (worker's choice)

10-15% Travel, mostly driving distance from Chicago will be required (mostly same day trips to local client sites).

Performs calibrations of instruments that measure the characteristics of objects, substances, or phenomena, such as pressure, temperature, time, force, torque, speed, flow, electric current, voltage, resistance, and derived units of physical, mechanical, or chemical measures. Identifies magnitude of error sources contributing to uncertainty of results to determine reliability of measurement process in quantitative terms.

• Performs calibrations on distributed company instruments products as well as customer's measuring instruments.
• Quantifies sources of measurement error and determines measurement uncertainty with TUR's.
• Prepares calibration reports which detail; methods, measurement data with uncertainties, TUR', and NIST traceability.
• Communicates with customers to resolve "technical" contract disputes or issues.
• Assists customers with measurement and NIST traceability questions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
