(http://www.tescomusa.com) has immediate openings for 2 PMEL/Calibration Technicians at our Austin Texas calibration laboratory. We have been experiencing business growth, and have immediate need for a Physical Dimensional Calibration Technician and an Electrical/Electronic Calibration Technician.

We are seeking technicians with diverse commercial calibration experience. Our well-equipped calibration lab covers many disciplines. This includes common test equipment, RF/Microwave, a wide variety of electrical/electronic instruments, plus many others. The Physical/Dimensional lab covers common gauges and instruments, such as: Pressure, Torque, Calipers, Micrometers, Air flow, Pin/thread/plug Gages, Relative Humidity, pH, and others.

We service a wide variety of central Texas customers across many industries, which requires a broad cross section of skills (physical/Dimensional and combinations of RF, DC/LF). Position requires a combination of in lab work, and local travel to perform on-site calibrations customer locations.

Ideal candidates should have completed military calibration (PME/TMDE) training or equivalent, and have a minimum of 6+ years combined military and industry calibration experience. Experience in a quality focused commercial laboratory and customer on-site background are both a plus.  Candidate should have experience processing calibration documentation, and using calibration automation software. Desirable added skills include working in ISO17025 Accredited lab, use of MetCal, SureCal or other automated calibration software, and use of MS Excel/MS Word. Candidate should have good analytical skills, good understanding of electronic theory, and the ability perform basic calculations (such as Ohm's Law). Education should include successful completion of military calibration school (PMEL or TMDE) or equivalent training.

Pay is competitive with Austin market, based on level of experience and negotiable, with good benefits.
