Duties & Responsibilities:

This position can be hired as Journeyman Tech I, II, III and Sr. depending upon experience:
1. Aligns, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates and certifies measuring and test equipment (M&TE) and calibration standards.
2. Performs work in the maintenance, repair, modification, and troubleshooting of equipment.
3. Performs maintenance, inspection, repair, testing, and surveillance on plant equipment.
4. Analyzes and isolates complex problems utilizing block, schematic and logic diagrams. Makes corrective repairs and takes action to prevent recurrences.
5. Develops and revises procedures for the certification of M&TE.
6. Identifies problems, defects, and failures which degrade component and system integrity and reliability.
7. Assists Engineering with testing and evaluations.
8. Performs technical reviews of procedures and other documents.
9. Designs and builds special test equipment and fixtures.
10. Works effectively with manufacturer and customer representatives, Company employees and contractors.
11. Assists in the requisition of replacement parts and supplies by referring to standard references or researching texts for suitable substitutes
12. Gives general guidance and direction as required to less experienced technicians.
13. Performs related duties and prepares reports as required.


Qualifications


Qualifications, Experience, & Physical Requirements:
An Associate's degree in an Engineering discipline from a recognized technical school of collegiate grade or a minimum of five (5) years of work experience in the Instrumentation and Controls field with one year work experience performed in nuclear power plant production or equivalent.

Minimum Experience
Minimum of 3 years of working experience in their specialty.
Minimum of 1 year of the experience should be related technical training.
High degree of manual dexterity.
Individuals in training or apprentice positions are not considered technicians or maintenance personnel for purposes of defining qualifications in ANSI/ANS 3.1 section 4 (Qualification) but are permitted to perform work for which qualification has been demonstrated.

Additional Responsibilities
As a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company.

ANO, GGNS, IPEC, RBS, and W3 candidates must meet or exceed ANSI/ANS 3.1-1978
ANSI Section 4.5.2 Technicians The standard specifies this as Journeymen Level Personnel.
