A King & Company is growing provider of calibration services across the Central and Southeast U. S.  We are an ISO17025 Accredited Calibration Company currently looking for motivated professionals to complete our team in the Calibration, Repair & Metrology Services Division.  Founded in 1939 by Jim King Sr. , we are a third generation family business, focused on providing quality services.  Our values have always been Character, Integrity and Professionalism.  Our mission is to be the industry's valued choice for measurement.  Starting position and pay dependent on relative work experience in a commercial or military laboratory environment.    We are looking for a Master Training and Support Specialist at our corporate office in Greensboro, NC.

Working with all branches and embedded locations, this position is engaged full time with the training and qualification process for all technicians. The primary focus will include but are not limited to the below function(s).

Primary Function(s)

•   Work with the Training and Service Managers to provide training and qualify calibration technicians on calibration procedures and processes using the Job Observation Process.

•   Provide support to all calibration technicians on Fluke Met /Team, Met/Cal related software issues. 

•   Work with the Quality, Technical and Service Managers to identify and implement continuous improvement projects that relate to employee competency and data integrity. (i.e. Employee Training Plans, Certificate Templates, Software Changes and Validations, etc.)

•   Perform certificate reviews and provide corrective feedback to technicians and managers in accordance with policy.

•   Work with, assist the Quality and Technical Manager with the internal and external proficiency testing program.

•   Work with, assist the Quality Manager during internal audits by performing technical competency assessments and reviewing presented certificate examples for compliance to company policy.

•   Work with, assist the Technical Manager in the validation process of internal calibration procedures.

•   Work with, assist service branches with the Corrective Action closure and Customer Complaint resolution.

•   Provide support in new strategic initiatives such as lab buildouts, startups, business acquisitions and transitions.

Education, Training & Experience Requirements:

•   They must be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all areas of calibration and testing to included Acoustics, Chemical, Dimensional, Dimensional Testing, Electrical - DC Low Frequency, Electrical – RF Microwave, Environmental Testing, Fluid Dynamics, Mechanical, Optical Quantities, Frequency, and Vibration.

•   Strong training / teaching background and with proven ability to qualify others.

•   Must have very strong communication skills, both written and verbal.  The candidate must complete a battery of testing to include the technical and communication requirements of the position. 

•   Strong familiarity with Fluke Met/Team, Met/Cal Basic, Met/Cal Advanced Procedure Writing, Crystal Reports, and Microsoft Excel.

•   Must be able to provide constructive criticism and feedback during performance evaluations.

•   Strong project organization skills

•   10 + years experience in a relevant field

Demands:

•   Extensive travel is required. The candidate should expect to travel to other JA King branch sites and embedded locations routinely.
