Purpose Complete calibration deviation investigations, impact analysis, root cause analysis and planned corrective action for manufactured product. Analyze previous test results to determine equipment corrective actions. Complete equipment calibration specifications for calibration deviations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•   Provides timely verbal & written communications with user departments, & engineering
•   Follow standard calibration procedures per Calibration SOP's.
•   Interprets records and verifies test data, comparing to known standards and criteria.
•   Maintain records within the calibration database.
•   Participate in Cross-Functional Teams for process improvements associated with deviations.
•   Must comply with requirements of ISO 14001 and BSC Environmental, Health and Safety standards and follow procedures and instructions related to these standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  To be considered for this position you must have the following qualifications:   EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and/or SKILLS
•   HS Diploma/GED
•   Two years related experience, preferably in Quality Assurance
•   Good demonstrated mechanical aptitude
•   Candidate must be a self motivated detailed oriented individual possessing a strong math and physics background.  Computer literate with understanding of Microsoft Office software applications.

Candidate should be able to lift, carry and pull objects up to 50 lbs.  Candidate should be able to interpret and understand drawing specifications, tolerances, procedures for inspection.  Candidate should have knowledge of physical dimensional gages (force gauges, pin gauges, ring gauges, etc.), pressure gages, temperature devices, controllers, and optical comparators.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:  The following are qualifications that we would prefer candidates to have.
2 years related technical degree or equivalent.  TMDE PMEL training preferred

Spencer is located 1 hour southwest of Indianapolis and a 1/2 west of Bloomington, Indiana.
