Role Summary/Purpose  The Calibration Technician is responsible for the administration of the Calibration Management Program, which includes Calibrated Equipment and Tools used to support the business. The Calibration Technician provides administration and technical expertise of in-house and outsourced calibration of company manufacturing equipment for GEHC, Surgery, operates the program in accordance with established procedures and accomplishes other tasks as defined by Management. 
Essential Responsibilities  1. Calibration of inspection, measurement and test equipment (IMTE) in one or more of the following disciplines (inclding bt not limited to): Dimensional, DC/Low Frequency, Force, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic and/or Environmental, in accordance with written procedures.
2. Perform basic maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of IMTE, as required.
3. Administration and maintenance of the calibration database software.
4. Assist in the development of in-house calibration procedures, as required.
5. Ensure that calibration activities meet all applicable ISO and QSR requirements.
6. Update and maintain calibration records, and ensure proper archiving of records per internal procedures.
7. Identify out of tolerance (OOT) conditions and perform corrective actions via adjustments, component replacement, etc.
8. Maintain calibration out of tolerance log (OTN) and follow up with OTN owners to ensure all OTN's are closed properly and in a timely manner.
9. Make process improvement recommendations accordingly.
10. Maintain liaison with all external vendors and suppliers to resolve problems, offer advice concerning calibration issues, techniques, and equipment, and to ensure on-going conformance with specific operation standards.
11. Collect and package IMTE to be shipped offsite for calibration or repair services.
12. Support Site Quality Management Representatives to ensure timely and effective responses to and closures of non-conformance or audit findings.
13. Ensure assigned training is completed in a timely manner, as required and compliance with EHS policies. 
Qualifications/Requirements  1. AS/AA degree or a minimum of 5 years as an Electrical/Electronic Technician, Instrumentation Technician or Calibration Technician.
2. Minimum of 3 years experience in a regulated industry (FDA, ISO).
3. Demonstrated experience performing general purpose, physical dimensions, electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment calibrations.
4. Experience with auditing processes (internal and external).
5. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
6. Ability to communicate effectively (both written and oral), work on virtual teams.
7. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer applications
8. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, drive multiple programs, teamwork oriented and responsiveness to customer needs. 
Desired Characteristics  1. Prefer military PMEL Certification or ASQ Calibration Technician certifications.
2. Experience with training course development.
3. Ability to interface with top organizational leadership
