I have an ongoing issue with the configuration of my 8902A. I have a volunteer helper who I simply cannot prevent from changing the stored cal factors of my 11792A sensor.

I'm used to resetting the rest of the instrument to "default" by keying in 1.0 spcl, 2.0 spcl, 3.0 spcl etc... and I don't really mind having to do that because I don't have any exotic configurations I use regularly.

But having to key in the cal factors over and over is a problem. I wish I could say I have control over this instrument but I work in small lab where we are all perceived as "equal" regardless of our actual experience.

A real solution would be to lock out my "helpers" from reconfiguring this instrument. Does anyone know how this can be accomplished?

I would write a program the programs the 8902A with what ever file you have for the sensor data..
Then run it.  It would take about 20 seconds to program it and you are off to the races.

I hadn't thought about that as a solution. Will look into it. Thanks.

After looking through the manual it turns out the 8902A has the capability of saving and recalling instrument states. I verified this does include the currently stored correction factors.
