APC 7 Pin Replacement

I have a customer who says his end users routinely replace the "pins" on APC-7 devices.

They routinely use and abuse these devices but because their SWR threshold is so high they don't notice any problem.

I've done a cursory search of the web and don't find anything regarding replacing any part of that type of connector.

Does anyone know if these connectors can be repaired?

Just found it as a Google search, typed in APC 7 connector pin replacement. Second one down is a HP operating manual for 16093A about replacing pins.

They're "abusing" 7mm? Wow, that is pretty hard to do other than flat out scratching the surface planes - unless you just don't have a clue how to mate 2 connectors.....

The only "pins" to replace are the collets. Search for the 85050B kit on Keysight's website and the manual shows removal of the collets to gage the loads. Requires an extractor tool that is in that specific kit.

To get a better connection, use fine grade sandpaper and a pipe wrench...

These devices are being used in an industrial environment and some of the center conductor collets were very worn or were damaged somehow.

Honestly, I've been gun shy about removing the collets.
They aren't cheap ($74 ea) but they are very easily replaced.
