Does anyone have this item?????

Aaron

I have one on the way from Ruska since my 2411 decided it was time to retire. Are you having a problem with the unit?

MIRCS

We have had ours for 2 years now and it's much nicer than the 2411.

The problem I have had is the Temperature probe calibration. It's adjusted with Rtp and A10 from the ITS90. You will also need to get in touch with Mr. Carney at AFPSL to get the other data needed to enter in to the CPIN WinPrompt.

Ensure to get the vacuum and LEM for the unit. makes a big difference.

Aaron

Thanks for the tip, I'll be sure and do that. We are getting the LEM and a new RTD. Please keep me posted on the Temp Problem in case I run into the same thing.

MIRCS

I'll be letting you know this coming month as it is due cal.

MIRCS

Aaron,

Are you not getting the vacuum module for it????? If not I would since it does have a different connection on the unit than what most are used too. If your not I would get it also, It's about $800.

Aaron

No, didn't order it. Just trying to get the Ruska up and running asap while asking for the least amount of money. I should be able to handle any connection problems, but I may try and get one later on.

MIRCS

Truly you need to get the vacuum module for the 2456A. You will understand that once you have the 2456A-800. Also remember that WinPrompt is a CPIN and must be listed if used on all your stickers.

Aaron

Hopefully I can get by without it for a while since we don't have the funds at the moment. I did call Ruska this morning just to re-verify. They told me that without it I would just have to manually enter in the vacuum level from the VT6 as opposed to having the module read it directly.

MIRCS

yeah you should be fine. Oh man are you going to love WinPrompt. best thing to ever happen happen with the 2465 system IMHO.

MIRCS

Well, In the process of calibrating this @&%**!@^@)(*#@()@!&*)@ PRT for the 2456......and lord and behold it's out of tolerance by +0.5C. It's accuracy is +/- 0.1C. This thing has a 12 month cycle....I put it onto a 6 month cycle......seems it needs to be shortened.........Oh Well

I hope yours works better.

Aaron

Me too. I always had the 2411 short cycled. It just never seemed to hold cal very well. I would even recheck it before every eval just to be sure. I hate worrying about that kind of stuff during an evaluation.

MIRCS

Yeah....I've got the five pound fine adjustment tool sitting here ready for action.

I really don't understand how this interval can stay at 12 months when over the last 2 1/2 years it's been out of tolerance constantly.....just don't get the why in that one.

Aaron

I've felt like using that tool on my high range piston more than a few times.

Aaron

All I can say is Nice. Even without the Vacuum Module the 2456 is a real luxury compared to using the 2411. Maybe I'll get the Vac Module for Christmas. 8)
