Job Description :
Perform varied work assignments within the jurisdiction of the MST Metrology Organization. Employee will need to be able to learn skills and abilities to perform duties of a calibration Technician in any metrology functional area, with technical assistance and guidance which includes in-place calibration support.
• Calibrate and repair wide range of general purpose electronic test equipment but not limited to: Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, spectrum Analyzers, Frequency Counters, Multi-meters, and Calibrators.

• Calibrate and repair Microwave, RF Power, Temperature, and Vibration Equipment
• Support the organization in the sustain laboratory accreditation to ISO 17025 and ANSI Z540.3
• Assist in the development of calibration procedures and processes
• Maintain accurate calibration records and reports in calibration management data base
• Assist in planning calibration workloads when inputs are needed
• Ensure equipment calibrations are complete in timely manner to meet customer requirements
• Manage tasks and work with team to meet customer requirements and schedules
• Maintain calibration standards
• Participate in metrology/calibration training courses, stay current on technical advances
• Support customer with prompt responds
• Support the team in identifying processes improvements

Basic Qualifications
• Associate of Science Degree in related discipline, such as Electrical Engineering, Physics or other Sciences, or equivalent experience
• General supervision with instructions given for routine work and detailed instructions for new lines of work or special assignments
• Understanding of ANSI/NSCL Z540-1-1994
• Experienced with the use and operation of RF/Microwave and electronic test equipment
• Experience in calibration and repair of a broad range of inspection, measuring, and test equipment
• Ability to use computer controller automatic test equipment calibration system
• Experience in the use of computer, Microsoft Office, instrumentation control utilizing automated calibration software
• Ability to work effectively as part of the Metrology Team

• Experience as PMEL or Calibration Technician
• Completion of Military DOD PMEL Metrology training program.
• Experience with Met/Track, Met/Team, Met/Cal software
• Understanding of ISO17025
• Appropriate degrees from an accredited college or equivalent experience/combined education.
• 3 years electronic equipment experience
