Job Title: Force Calibration Technician
Location:  Phoenix, AZ

Tovey Engineering manufactures force transducers and force calibration systems with industry leading accuracy and reliability. We focus exclusively on test measurements, materials testing, and metrology markets, offering a variety of standard products, special transducer designs and advanced engineering services to meet customer requirements. Our standard force products are used for research and development, material testing, creep and fatigue testing, component testing, sub-assembly testing and final assembly testing. A range of product measurement uncertainties are available for everyday requirements to high performance applications.


Job Purpose:
To maintain, test and repair a variety of force transducers and equipment to assure compliance with the company's quality standards as well as provide timely and exceptional service to customers.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
   Calibrates force transducers to meet established conformance standards.
   Maintains an adequate turnaround time on all customer equipment.
   Sets up laboratory and testing equipment as necessary.
   Contributes to team effort by accomplishing other related tasks as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:
   Experience with calibration and/or metrology equipment, PMEL experience a plus
   Previous experience working under ASTM E-74, ISO 17025, and ISO 376
   Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and willingness to learn new
    programs as required
   Good vision, math skills and sharp eye-hand coordination
   Ability to analyze and interpret data and other information in order to complete calibrations
   Good written and verbal communication skills
   Must be able to show a track record of excellent attention to detail
   Must be able to maintain a clean and clutter-free work area for the safety of all employees
   Able to periodically lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
