Electronic Calibration Technician
Robins AFB, Warner Robins Ga. - Type IIA PMEL

JOB SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a RF calibration/repair technician to join our team in the high frequency electronics measurement areas (K3 and K4). Qualified candidate must have a well-rounded skill set in the RF area to include items such as Microwave Measurement Receiver (MMR), Frequency/Synthesizer Generators to 50 GHz, Phase Noise, Spectrum Analyzers, Communication Analyzers and Oscilloscopes. Any combination of these skills would be considered. Applicants must have good communication and organizational skills and to be able to work well with other team members as well as interact professionally with government employees.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
1.     Minimum four (4) years experience in Test, Maintenance, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) calibration and repair, preferably in a military calibration lab.   Experience to include: inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, calibrating, and certifying TMDE, metrology laboratory working standards and safe work practices/procedures. 
2.     Completion of a DOD accredited PMEL School or an Associates' Degree in Metrology.   
3.     Possesses the knowledge required to read and analyze block, schematic, wiring and logic diagrams. 
4.     Ability to troubleshoot and repair non-functioning TMDE. 
5.     A plus is having extensive knowledge of Air Force Metrology and Calibration Program requirements including Air Force T.O. 00-20-14. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1.     Lifting/Moving Requirement - up to 50 pounds.     
   
PAY AND BENEFITS:
1.     Compensation package greater than $73,000 year, including the following:
a.     Hourly wage ($28. 51)
b.     Medical plan monetary contribution by the company.   If you opt out of the medical plan, you receive an additional $5.75 an hour (in addition to hourly rate) up to 40 hours per week to apply to the cost of any outside insurance plan. 
c.     Company offers:
   *Short Term Disability
   *Long Term Disability
   *Life insurance (benefit = 1 times annual salary; you may purchase additional if desired)
   *Accidental death and dismemberment insurance @1 times annual salary
d.     401K:
   *Company 401K contribution is $1.00/Hr. worked up to 40 Hr per week. 
   *Employee may contribute additional if desired. 
2.     Holidays:
   *Eleven (11) paid Holidays per year. 
3.     Medical, Vision and Dental insurance is available.   Enrollment in one plan is not required to obtain coverage in another. 
4.     Vacation:
   * After 1 but less than 8 years of service – 10 days
   * After 8 but less than 20 years of service – 15 days
   * After 20 years of service – 20 days
5.     Personal/Sick leave:
   Full-time employees will accrue personal leave at the rate of 1.846 hours per pay period (6 days/48 hours per year).
6.     Work hours
   6:00AM – 2:30PM, M-F. 
7.     Relocation assistance is available. 
All new employees are on 90 days probation.
