JOB SUMMARY:
Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission.  They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations.  The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.
About the Position:
This job provides the opportunity to support the mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot; which is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. The Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance and is the world's largest helicopters overhaul and repair facility. CCAD serves as the depot training base for active duty Army, National Guard, Reserve and foreign military personnel. We also provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support. Positions include those providing support to the maintenance of helicopters in a variety of shops or in an office setting.

DUTIES:
You will serve as liaison for the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) with the major subordinate command (MSC); e.g. AMCOM. with duty location in Huntsville, AL. Participate in the planning, coordination, direction, evaluation, and implementation of logistical actions in support of the projects/programs between CCAD, MSC, other agencies, Project Managers (PM), and Project Executive Officers (PEO).  Authorize interim deviations from procedures and recommends alternate courses of action in resolving problems critical to current requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Specialized experience: To Qualify applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-10).  Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Experience using various types of aircraft electrical systems.  2) Apply engineering methods and techniques in the design, review, analysis, layout, and preparation of appropriate project documentation.  3) Utilize mathematics for computations involving analysis and estimates of facilities or production projects.  4) Developing and presenting written and oral technical and non-technical information.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
•        Knowledge of Electrical and Manufactures' drawings, designs, layouts, and sketches
•        Ability to analyze designs, drawings, and specifications to make recommendations for changes
•        Ability to use Electrical Drawings
•        Technical practices (Theoretical, Precise, and Artistic)
•        Calibration Standards
•        Knowledge of engine test cell operations and engine performance evaluations.
