Howdy all. I was wondering if anyone may know if there are any calibration labs or companies in the New Orleans Metro area looking for technicians. I have been working at the Andersen AFB PMEL since July 2005 as the primary Phy/Dimen tech.

Kay and Associates was looking for someone in the area not long ago. Check out their site.

Try NAS New Orleans. They had an ad somewhere this last year or so looking for people in the calibration lab.

Never even got an email response. I called one time to see if they were still looking, and they said that yeah, they were still looking through resume's. He took my name and number and said that he would get back to me. I had applied through their site. Never heard from them again.

You seem to have the skills we're looking for in my company, however, I did speak with someone that worked with you at your previous place of employment. They stated you have anger issues and don't work well with others. If I may suggest just using your military background experience? Best of luck to you.

I just have 2 things to say, pretty rare for me actually.

1.  Not commenting on the validity of the feedback hskr_fan received, I have no idea if there are issues or not, but sometimes you talk to people with an axe to grind over something and true feedback about a person isn't given, I have no information as to who provided the information or what any of the relationships between the folks are.  I have had a few jobs over the years and would be happy to have any of my previous employers provide information about me, except for one where the situation was intolerable for various reasons, we'll skip the details but if everybody over time but one person says you're alright, and there is one out there that doesn't, well do the math, maybe they are wrong, just sayin.

2.  More important, this is not the forum for information like this about a person, especially in a job search environment.  Publicly putting this out there is very unprofessional.  If you feel the need to provide this person feedback as to why you didn't want to hire him, a private conversation, either by email or phone call is much more appropriate.  "Just my opinion, I could be wrong." Thank you Dennis Miller.

Also I did not think it was legal for former employers to talk about you? If I was this gentleman I might pursue a case of slander...

Wow, seems you don't play well with others too well either. This seems to be extremely unproffesional, not to mention a violation of hiring practices on the part of the past employer as well as Hsker.
I think CatfishJohn78 dodged a bullet on this one.
I will certainly keep this company on my hell-no list.
