Inflator Kit Opinions

I would like other opinions on this.  It seems that "some" bases and people think that the inflator kits should be labeled with a limited cal tag because the gauge is only calibrated to the MTP noted for that particular kit.  So the gauge in most cases is not calibrated to full scale.  The T.O. says to do this and in no way suggests it is a limited calibration.   I believe that is correct and a limited cal tag is inappropriate.  However, due to analocity, it appears that someone is reading into the procedure somethng that is not there.
  What do you think?  Yellow or white tag?

At the three contract labs that I was at, all of the Kits got yellow tags.  Don't know why, but the QAE's seemed to like it that way and I stayed out of trouble.  hahahaha

I agree dallanta, the limited label is a load of cobblers!  The darned thing is NOT a gage any more, it's an inflator kit.  When the pop-off is set to less than full scale, that's as far as it can be used. 
  I'm in the minority though, on the ACC contract.  We got ordered to make em 99s.  Go figure. 

The only logic I could find was that some of the kits had a seperate tire gage (1064) pigtail in them that *could* have been used beyond the pop off setting.  I still think it should have been  a white label though.  As an "inflator kit" it was fully cal'd.

Yep when it comes down to the crunch, we do what we are told and follow the rules.   It is yellow labels here now too.

which inflator kits? We seem to have the same chucks with about a million different part numbers....
