We have an immediate need for a Metrology Engineer in Santa Clara, CA

Education/Experience:

Completion of a two-year degree in an electronics discipline and a minimum
of 4 years related job experience applicable to SE Laboratories' field of
service, or a knowledge of Metrology and a minimum of 6 years experience in
Metrology.
Proficiency in calibration repair of test and measurement equipment.
Experience in calibration procedure development.

Skills/Abilities:

Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with personnel within various departments to address
customer concerns as quickly as possible, utilizing any and all resources
available.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Description of Duties:

Design calibration procedures and create software for calibration.
Evaluate procedures received from customers and/or manufacturers of
equipment for compatibility with SE Laboratories capabilities.
Respond to requests for assistance in revision of internal SEL procedures.
Assist in training Technicians.
Calibrate equipment in accordance with approved specifications and
procedures.
Repair equipment in accordance with internal procedures.
Submit new specs/procedures for Quality approval as obtained.
Adhere to ESD control procedures as applicable.
Perform Field Service as required.
Complete documentation on work performed.
Perform all duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Work with the Quality Manager in training technicians in order to ensure
compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Customer interaction, when necessary, upon request of personnel within
various departments.
