We currently have an immediate opportunity for a Mid-level Calibration and Repair Technician in our Lansing, Michigan Laboratory. The ideal candidate will perform electronic and mechanical calibrations and/or repairs on general purpose and/or specialized measuring and test equipment. This is a team atmosphere primarily in a laboratory environment, but may require limited travel to perform services at the customer's site.

Qualifications/Requirements: Technical - Performs calibrations in the following skill areas, as applicable: general-purpose electronic test equipment, to include multi-meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, function/pulse generators, RF generators, spectrum/network analyzers and resistance standards. Additionally, skills in NVH and mechanical calibration are desired. This includes calibration experience of sound and vibration related instrumentation as well as calipers, micrometers, pressure/vacuum gauges, temperature and humidity devices. Successful candidate must be able to perform these essential functions either in our calibration laboratory or at the customer's site. Minimal overnight travel may be required.

Agreed Dbasi.  The civilian market needs to catch up pay wise with what we can make as contractors on a Military base.   :-D

Really?

Hmmm.......I guess that was why when Moody went contract the pay was 16.53/hr.......remember that wage determiner. Yet what all else is involved in the compensation package. Do they work 7 days on, 7 off as a friend of mine does for the NCDOT. It would be intresting to know what their package is.

Then again I'm not leaving here as I work in the private sector, make more than I did as a Union Goverment contractor....and to top it have less challenges, work........hmmm I wouldn't trade this at all.
