POSITION SUMMARY:   ** NO RELOCATION ASSISTANCE **    URGENT NEED              URGENT NEED

This position is likely to be a weekend shift: Fri, Sat, Sun 5am - 5pm

The position is a member of the Test Data Systems NA section of Validation Solutions division.  Test Data Systems NA supports Technical Center and Peoria Proving Grounds including Global Engine Development NA (GED NA) division.  In GED NA, the team is responsible for standardization and automation of engine test cells.  The position requires the ability to work with a diverse group of people and drive change in the organization.  The role is expected to lead Green Belt facilitated 6 Sigma projects focused on Safety, Quality and Velocity.  The role will deploy and maintain standard configurations, develop and maintain automated cycles, and support the day-to-day operation of test cells.  Also, the role is responsible for deploying new data acquisition and control systems and data analysis tools. 

REQUIREMENTS:  2-year college degree in a technical field and 4 years support experience in engine, component or machine development, instrumentation, calibration, facilities or operations.  Experience with data acquisition and control systems and/or data analysis tools.  Familiarity with engine emissions measurement techniques and processes.  Software development experience using a high-level programming language such as Visual C++ or Visual Basic.  Understanding of object-oriented technologies.  Understanding of design of experiments.  6 Sigma Green Belt.
