Hello,
I am new on this board, I work for Simco as their corporate recruiter.  

Here is information on our open technician positions.  

We have positions available in CA, MA, TX, NC

SIMCO Electronics strategic emphasis is to provide enhanced program management systems and services for customers' test and measurement equipment needs.   One global service provider improves quality control and compliance of services while reducing total program costs. 

The principal markets served by SIMCO Electronics include, Life Sciences, Electronic Components/Semiconductors, Communications/Optical Networking, Automotive, and Government.   Specific market-focused expertise is the core of SIMCO Electronics' competencies and a central focus of capital investments and strategic initiatives.  



III.     Responsibilities and Duties


1.     Perform electronic calibrations and/or repair on general purpose and/or specialized measuring and test equipment according to established procedures.  
2.     Enter data into calibration database. 
3.     Prepare calibration reports and certificates related to assignments in a timely manner. 
4.     Perform calibrations in one or more of the following skill areas, as applicable: 
•   bio-med instrumentation
•   electronic standards
•   fiber optics
•   LCR and impedance
•   nuclear and radiation physics
•   oscilloscopes
•   particle counters
•   photo/radiometric optometry
•   ESD
•   RF/microwave power, frequency, and impedance
•   sound pressure level
•   spectrophotometer (including standards)
•   spectrum and network analysis, time interval and frequency
•   vibration
•   video
•   voltage & current
•   waveform analysis, phase and distortion
5.      Receive and complete training on calibration procedures, documentation, and the calibration database. 
6.     Regular interaction with other technicians, CSRs, Account Managers, and customers. 


IV.     Qualifications

1.     Minimum High School diploma. 
2.     Must be able to perform mathematical computations related to specification and measurement analysis. 
3.     Minimum five years of calibration experience. 
4.     Ability to perform calibrations on ESD devices, meters, ovens, signal generators, oscilloscopes, hipots, LCR, curve tracers, logic analyzers, counters, and basic repair skills. 
5.     Familiarity with RF and microwave calibration and possess two technical skill area specialties described above. 
6.     Must have great interpersonal and customer service skills. 
7.     Strong attention to details. 
8.     Must possess good written, oral, and documentation skills. 
9.     Must be a self motivator, work as a team player, and follow written procedures. 
10.     Proficient in MS Word and Excel. 



Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds without assistance
      Occasional standing and bending are required. 
     

Works primarily in a laboratory or manufacturing environment at a SIMCO location and/or customer sites.   Travel may be required to other domestic and possibly international locations.

The post says South Carolina but the website doesn't have a location there.  Is that supposed to be North Carolina?

On their site there is an 'on call' job in Virginia. The Billerica, MA lab used to have part timers when I was there in 2001
