I own and play the XboX 360.. Games I play are FPS. My favorite still is CoD4.

If you are thinking of getting a Wii DON'T! My 7 yr old begged for one this past Christmas and he already has a 360? Crazy! Like a good dad who spoils there child I got him one. He played it for one weekend and went back to the 360 ( of course ). Good thing was that I bought it from Target and they let me bring it back for a full refund. My son ended up with an electric scooter instead of a waste of money.

Console games...YUCKY!! Give a good PC game anyday. A great FPS is Crysis...online rocks. But each has their preference.

We got my 6 year old the Wii and he loves it. I think it is a very neat gaming system and would better serve your child developmentally. There is a lot going on with the Wii and I believe some of the games are harder than the other platforms available. If you do buy it you have to buy carnival games it is awesome.

I think my sons issue was that he was used to playing with HD graphics and the 360 online play is way better. He also likes FPS games and they really stink on the Wii.

360 is a great system and very addictive! My issue is reliability

we are currently on the 5th unit. 4 died with the red rings of death convinced Comp USA warranty department to issue a credit against purchase of the "Elite". So far it's been 2 months and all seems to be well. Any of you other guys had problems with this or do I just have terrible luck

I bought the 2nd generation 360 and have had it for 2 yrs now. I have had no problems with it. Good thing is for you guys that have the 1st generation is that everytime you send it in for repair you get another 3 yr warranty.

Microsoft has had a changed of policy 1 year warranty after the repair all repais to follow or now $99 . That Bill gates is a genius...he takes a known design flaw and turns it into a money maker

...and dont forget the game exchange program

Sheesh I am so out of the loop on game consoles. The new games seem almost overly complicated and take away from good old-fashioned game play. I still have the 8-bit Sega Master System.. complete with the 3-D glasses as well as Genesis console.. next on my wishlist is a Vectrex!
