Little Rock PMEL

I have recently moved here to Arkansas and have been trying to dig up a little history on the lab here at Little Rock AFB.   I have been working with the base historian but they are not having much luck either.

Does anyone have an idea as to when the PMEL here was established?.

I would think that a safe assumption would be some time after the school house opened up at Lowry in the mid 50's to sometime in the early 60's, but just trying to track down a good date.
