Cost to calibrate a Fluke 77 IV

I was just looking on Transcat's website and their base calibration is $89 I think accredited with data and uncertainties is $160. Is that normal? I have not looked at prices in a while and that kind of gave me sticker shock. Anybody care to share what they charge?

It takes no more than 15 minutes to run it on Met/Cal. Then you figure another 15 minutes to process the meter correctly.  Probably charging extra for their overhead...

Looks like their other meter prices are pretty high as well. $76 with no data on a Fluke 87-5 $101 for (accredited) with data $137 data and uncertainties. I was just wondering if that is going industry wide now?

It's not just a simple burdened labor rate for the number of minutes it takes to calibrate the meter.  It should include related overhead, and various coverage factors (not statistical).  Some labs charge for every little thing they do, others do not. Some labs may include fuses (such as the infamously expensive DMM44/100, etc.), and batteries. Some labs charge additional for adjustment. So some or all of the above may (or may not) be imbedded in pricing.
