High Temperature Surface Contact Probe

I have a question for someone with a physical/dimensional background.

My question is about surface contact temperature probes, specifically the older type with a ceramic sensor holder and a fairly heavy gauge thermocouple sensor. They appear to be made more for durability than accuracy.

I don't believe the ITS-90 limits apply to this type of sensor.

Does anyone know if this type of sensor has it's own tolerance or if there is a specific K procedure that addresses them?

Usually when I calibrated high temperature thermocouples, they were S-type and we calibrated them up to 1000°C. The accuracy was ±1.5°C or 0.25% whichever was greater. There were special S-Types that could do 0.6°C or 0.1% but they were rare.
