National Security Technologies(NSTec) is looking for a Physical/Dimensional Calibration Technician at our North Las Vegas Calibration Laboratory. We are a contractor to the United States Department of Energy, and provide a multitude of services in support of the mission at the Nevada National Security Site. The ideal candidate will already possess an active DOE "Q" clearance. The ability to obtain a DOE "Q" clearance is imperative for this position. Prior PMEL experience is highly desired. Previous 68 degree room experience is a plus.

Primary duties and responsibilities will include the calibration of:
torque devices, torque multipliers, torque standards, plug gages, threaded plug gages, ring gages, threaded ring gages, thread wires, micrometers, thread micrometers, bore micrometers, depth micrometers, supermicrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gages blocks, optical flats, optical comparator, height transfer standards, right angle irons, surface plates, precision balances, mass sets, pressure gages, temperature/humidity devices, thermocouple devices, capacitance diaphragm vacuum gages, angular measuring M&TE, sine plates, angular gage blocks, parallel bars, and tensionmeters.

This position is currently being offered in the "D" pay band. The "D" pay band ranges from $27.70 to $47.09, depending on qualifications and experience. Health care coverage begins on the first day of employment. Employees in the 0-1 year of service range earn 120 hours of PTO, with an option to buy 40 additional hours. This is on top of 8 Federal Holidays. The work schedule is from 7am-530pm PST Monday through Thursday.
