No benefits, people with only 5 years in a cal lab and no PMEL school get promoted over you ( I have 16+ yrs in ). I just left there as did about 12-15 people in the last 3 months. This should give you some clue... However, I still have great friends there. If you want a job I have one for you that pays 50k - 53k a year plus great benefits.

By the way, that's how I got my user name. Flew-Da-Coup. I left Kay & Associates. I still love the people there. Well, some of them.

There is also a reason they call it " The Kay Plantation". Now my picture of a freed slave makes sense.

Sorry bro I type faster than I can think sometimes so its spell check hell!
Thanks a lot, InLikeFlynn, I value your input. Being a Marine, I can make the most out of an situation, but I feel I must hit the ground running... It'll suck if I get cool with my fellow techs then have to move. I probably take the job purely because of nothing else has really came through. You might be seeing me in the future!

One thing you have to remember InLikeFlynn is that you work on the second shift there and that makes alll the difference in the world. Working for Tom Stewart is a cush job and I would have loved to work for him. However, you know that day shift sucks. Matter of fact you have turned down going to day shift because of that. The working conditions on day shift are horrible. You have to work with people like Ken B. who tries to get people fired and when it blows up in his face the slack no back bone management will not even fire him. That's why 12-14 dayshift people have left in the last 3 months. I don't think it is fair to compare night shift to day shift. Matter of fact you know that I would work late just to work with night shift. I say give Tom Stewart the Program Manager position and fire several others ( you know who I am talking about ) and even I would come back as well as others. InLikeFlynn, you are in a better world than most at KAI because you have a boss who has his techs backs. I never expirenced that there. Chances are if this guy goes to KAI he will put in the same situation as me and he will hate you for it. Hahaha.

Anyway, best of luck

Are you going to teach him the night shift secret handshake? :-D

Just make sure you don't show him on company time.

We ran out of work tonight so we made sure that we actually have a handshake. I left early though. They didn't want to let the mentally ill know it. Never know what I'll do with that kind of information. Though one of these days I really want to make the night shift shrine with the fake goat's blood and all. It will symbolize many of the things they think we do.
