3.5mm adapter insertion loss values in PMCS file

I got a call from a friend back at Nellis today asking about the insertion loss values for the 3.5mm adapters that are loaded in the .dat file for the PMCS.  The question was, whether or not they should include the negative sign.

I have to say that I was stumped.  It is impossible to tell how the software handles these values and there isn't anything in the meager documentation.  It's one thing if you are calculating the value manually, but not knowing how the software handles the data, it could go either way.

When I've charted the adapters in the past, I looked at the old values and just put them in like they were before (either with or without the negative sign, I don't remember).  But they are running into some problems running some waveguides above 18 GHz and it works one way and is really wacked the other.

Any experts out there know the answer?

First did you already tweak the template? It looks semi different.

Second I can recommend you e-mail our resident power meter dude here at Robins.  To avoid him getting anything unwanted or wanted. I'll munge his name somewhat. You can just forward the e-mail question to him. I won't say  anything to him I don't think.

remove every other letter of each part starting at the beginning.

Signed Thomas Paine - sounded right.

Also you can pm rkfrancis - or whatever he uses for his user name. He's management here. And a professor!

Yeah, I tweaked the template a bit.  Just moved the user info to the top, from the left side.

Thanks for the info, I'll pass it along.
