I have not heard anything from him in a while and the last time I tried to send him a message it would not go through??

He is still around lurking. I talked to him on the phone 2 days ago. He is just very busy right now with a new job.

I looked for him in the members list and he is not listed anymore. Additionally, his posts seem to have disappeared; noticed when I was reviewing an old thread. He was quoted in the following post but his post was gone.
