  I submitted a 22 on this procedure because of the 11683A has a problem with stability below 30uW (as noted in our January AFMETCAL newsletter, and the Agilent website, including the maintenace manual of the E4416A which states that these ranges should be for indication only).  My 22 was disapproved (go figure) Has anyone else come across this problem with the E4416A( or not), using an unmodified 11683A?  Does everyone know about this modification?

I just found out about this mod yesterday.  Our K4 & K1 techs found two of our 11683A's are erratic @ low levels, causing our 436A's to fail cal.  We are going to order the mod parts for all of our 11683A's. We haven't had problems w/ our E4416A's.

If I remember correctly this has always been a problem with range calibrators.  Now that there is a definite solution.   I am wondering if we should do an ACC SOS on this for all the contract labs and let them know that this may be a solution to problems or prevent an ACC write up in the future?  I appreciate you looking at this problem.  Any more input on this matter is greatly appreciated.
