Position Summary

Industrial Inspection & Analysis is looking to fill a Calibration Technician position at IBB Technology, located in Cedarburg, WI.

We are seeking an experienced Physical Dimensional calibration technician, preferably with commercial calibration experience, including Electronic calibration skills.

Our calibration lab covers many calibration disciplines, such Temperature, Pressure, Electronics, Torque, Calipers, Micrometers, Indicators, many types of Hard Gages (i.e. Rings/Pins/Threads/Plugs), RH, Roughness, Hardness, Weights & Scales and more.

The Calibration Technician's primary job function is to calibrate customer equipment in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540 as well as internal procedures and industry standards. We strive for story-worthy customer service.

This position works both in the lab and onsite at customer facilities.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Calibrate customer equipment in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540, internal procedures, and industry standards.
  • Calibration and measurement of various quality control instruments and gages.
  • Responsible for identifying the condition of the gages as received, cleaning gages, measurement of gages, and entering associated measurements into calibration database.
  • Create beneficial customer relationships through accurate and timely communication.
  • Utilize tools to help create solutions to problems

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years calibration experience
  • PMEL Preferred
  • Excellent math skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience in inspection and the use of hand tools or gages is preferred
  • A self-directed mindset with the ability to work under minimal supervision is critical to this position
  • Able to effectively communicate questions and differences between common problems and unique situations
  • Ability to organize work and to engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently to meet deadlines is essential to this position
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Work well in group solving situations

Working Conditions

  • Work will be performed in lab and onsite at client facility
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time while performing the job responsibilities
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • Some travel, but mostly home daily
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
