Utilize calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, in consideration of accuracy and precision requirements.

Identify magnitude of error sources contributing to uncertainty of results to determine reliability of measurement process in quantitative terms.

Diagnose and repair malfunctions in complex IM&TE using theories of operation, block diagrams, schematics, logic trees, and software diagnostics to the component level.

Provide training to other technicians on metrology principles, resolving technical problems, and complicated electronic theory.

Inspect measuring and test equipment for preventive maintenance, cleanliness, and safety requirements, analyze and interpret results of measurements and calibrations using mathematical formulas, and document results of measurements and calibrations on calibration certificates and calibration correction charts.

Other duties include creating calibration procedures, selecting suitable substitution of standard IM&TE, and entering documentation into computer systems.
