Don't let people sway you into thinking this is an impossibly hard job.  Actually it's a very good job, fairly straight forward....and from what I can tell, most of the people on this forum have lots of experience.  So why not help make sure the new folks coming into the field get the best possible tools....you folks.  Writing T.O.s sounds like it would be a nightmare....it isn't, actually it's just the opposite, and you get to keep up on all the latest and greatest equipment...of course there are some older items out there...but that why your experience is needed!!!!

Heath/Newark, Ohio isn't so bad either, I'm originally from Massachusetts...big city stuff, and Columbus is only 20 or so miles away, with all sorts of thing to do.  If you like racing...drag racing (Kirkersville)/cart (Mid-Ohio)/dirt track (Zanesville) /Oval (Columbus)...We also have the Blue Jackets Hockey team, and we have the Ohio Buckeyes Football team....one of the best in the nation...hands down (I know I'm gonna catch hell for that).  Downtown Columbus has the brewery district...very upbeat place to have lots of FUN!

The nice thing is if you like the country...it's here, if you like the big city stuff it's here....cost of living is not too bad....probably like the rest of the country, actually a little cheaper here....

Again...it's a great job, and you get to put YOUR experience to use!!!!

If you have K3/K4 or K1/K8 experience...that would be a major plus.

Well then why don't WE "refine" the process...and see if WE can actually be pro-active and fix 'em before they go out into the field!?  That way YOU won't have to rewrite them...LOL!

Sure, it's not as easy as sitting at your bench doing the cal, especially when you have the equipment right in-front of you.  Here you really have to think about how to do it...what is the best methodology, ensure every base has the applicable standards and make EVERYONE in the field happy, with OUR process.  Sure you might do it different in the field...but that's why we need some fresh faces up here.  THINKING outside the box!

The pay is really good for the area, and it really isn't a bad job, just like any other, don't take it home with you.  The area is nice, lots of good people, friendly town.  I'm just not sure why everyone in the field has such a nasty attitude about this place.  Sure there are better jobs....like winning the lottery...but not many people can do that...

So if you're interested in making a difference, apply, don't throw stones...'cause EVERYONE lives in a glass house!

Is this the one where Mr Eddie Young is the POC?

What the problem may be is mr flynn and your level of sarcasm or unintentional hype.

Remind me where this is posted...

If this is the one I did contact them. I am semi interest but alas I am in somewhat of a commitment and am waiting on something else to pop up in my radar before I apply for anything else.

Also I think where I saw that posted the pay was only about $19/hr.

Not an auditor...I'm a tech writer!  LOL...that just makes me...insane...getting beat up by you guys day in and day out!  Heck this job would be sweet, if you field guys quit picking on us!  LOL... I never said you had to do it EXACTLY my way...I just give you a way of doing it.

Phys_dim

Ah...that is true.  That's why it would be nice to have a few more folks with that "field re-write" experience up here.

I think Flamy would be GOD KING of T.O. writing.  I am not be funny, I think Flamy has the right accumen to get it done.  Plus he is partially from Ohio.

Well I chatted with Phys Dim for about 40 minutes Sunday plus have probed around for more information before. Like I told him I'm happy with my situation now. I'm also waiting on the next Civil Service culling before seriously considering anything.

Thraxas

1. I don't want to write technical orders for a living.

2. I don't want to move to Ohio.

3. I'm not eager to work for a contractor again.

4. It would take a substantial pay raise to get me to move.

5. Doesn't really matter. See number 1.

Anyways good luck with the applicant hunt! :-)
