I am looking for calibrated eyes here. I am 99% sure he did not break the plane. All views I saw his knees were down.

I kind of saw the same thing.  And I am not a football expert (not much of a sports person). But according to my son, the football crossed the plane before his knee hit.  Again, this from a non-expert.
