PMEL Technician - Austin, Texas (Tescom)

ELECTRONIC PMEL/TMDE TECHNICIAN - IMMEDIATE NEED AT TESCOM, Austin Texas. 

Due to recent business growth, we need a good senior PMEL technician with broad electronic calibration experience.   Ideal candidate will have a good mix of calibration experience in a quality-focused commercial lab, with experience and skills calibrating a broad, middle range of electronic instruments.  Some examples include RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, mid to high end DMM's, pulse/function generators, logic analyzers, audio analyzers, megohmmeters, hipot testers, and many others. 

Ideal candidate should also have experience in general Physical/Dimensional calibrations such as pressure gauges, calipers/micrometers, torque wrenches, crimpers, and others.

Required skills and abilities include: understanding of basic electronic theory, use of Microsoft Word and Excel, ability to read and follow calibration procedures, basic understanding of measurement uncertainties, able to lift at least 50 lbs., able to stand or sit for extended periods, possess a valid U.S. drivers license with good driving record.

Other desired skills include use of automated calibration software including MetCal or Surecal.  Experience in use of calibration recall databases.  Experience in working directly with customers, with good customer focus.

Additional pay consideration will be given for candidate fluent in writing Fluke MetCal Automated Procedures.  This skill would need to include the ability to independently write full MetCal procedures and configure MetCal .acc tables for Measurement Uncertainty Calculations.

Pay is competitive based on skill level (negotiable), and also includes comprehensive benefits package.  Some assistance with relocation may be available for the ideal candidate.
