Starting A Calibration Lab

The biggest problem I see is capital to start the lab. I think you will need at least $100,000 to get some decent equipment and start the process of getting your certifications. Until you get ISO certified you probably will not see a dime of profit. The other problem is you will be a brand new lab so good luck getting people to trust you with thier calibration program. I have been looking into this for a number of years and unless you have a lot of cash up front it is not going to work.
