Position Description
Evans Analytical Groups Calibration Laboratory in Phoenix, Arizona supports a variety of customers with calibrations in RF/microwave, DC/LF (including precision electrical standards lab), and physical/dimensional disciplines.  We have an immediate opening for a full time Senior Calibration (PMEL) Technician to fulfill a key role in meeting current calibration needs (with strong RF/microwave experience), and improving and expanding the lab's capabilities for future growth. 

Responsibilities
Based out of our Phoenix Arizona laboratory, primary duties will be to provide in lab and on-site high quality calibrations to a diverse assortment of RF/microwave, DC/LF and physical/ dimensional test equipment as detailed below.   Additional duties include daily laboratory operations, such as: automated procedure development/debug (MetCal), environmental monitoring, uncertainty calculations, new procedure development, compliance with quality system requirements, troubleshooting and repairs, on-site calibrations at customer locations, and participation in ongoing projects to improve and expand laboratory capabilities and infrastructure.

Requirements
A minimum of 15+ years calibration experience, and experience in troubleshooting & repair of electrical/electronic measuring instruments, with strong background in the following specialized areas:

•   RF Power Sensors (to 26.5 GHz) using Weinschel/Tegam system & SureCal
•   Network & Spectrum Analyzers (to 26.5 GHz)
•   RF Signal Generators (to 26.5 GHz)
•   National Instruments PXI Cards (including use of NI MAX & NI Calibration Executive)
•   Hewlett Packard/Agilent 4062 series ATE systems (or similar)
•   Pulse/Function Generators
•   Sampling/High Frequency Oscilloscopes (to 20 GHz)
•   Precision Electrical Standards (10 VDC Ref, AC Standards, Resistance)
•   Semiconductor Parametric Analyzers (HP 4156B/C, or similar)
•   Logic Analyzers (to 3 GHz)
•   Electrometers & Picoammeters
•   LCR Meters
•   Use of MetCal & SureCal to perform automated calibrations.

> Advanced calibration training (U.S. military PMEL or TMDE School or equivalent preferred).
> Extensive background in planning and leading complex on-site calibration jobs.
> Ability to understand electronic circuits, theory and schematics.
> Computer skills including:  MS Office (Word and Excel), Database (such as MetTrack),
> Automated Calibration software (MetCal, Surecal, etc.).
> Programming Skills desirable in MetCal, Surecal, Visual Basic, Labview or similar.
> Capable of heavy lifting (>50 lbs).
> Some travel may be required including possible of overnight travel.
> Valid Arizona Drivers License
