As a technician, it's a good company to work for, when you're new to the field.  The labs are very well equipped and since it's a leasing agent they tend to incorporate the latest and the greatest into the technicians stations.  Its fun working with all the new equipment and automation is abundant.  You do get to really know a product line because you generally work on the same time of equipment a lot.  Repetition certainly does create familiarity.  I highly recommend them for any technician out of the military that wants to boost their skill set, that being said, the cost of living is high and they lab is strictly overhead.  The money is in getting the equipment out for rent/lease ASAP.

Hi All,

If you send it to maya@electrorent. com it goes to HR who will send it to the applicable managers.  Thats the best approach.

We do use a lot of automation because we keep measurement records and to do the number crunching for uncertainties guardbanding etc.  Let the computer do the busy work!

We can put skilled technicians to work and also the newest grads from 4 year technology schools.  The challenge and opportunity is there.
We split the equipment into main groups and people learn and work the equipment in the group.  We have a peer based OJT system that breaks down the type of equipment into several hundred groups and you progress from training under supervision, to qualified able to cal, to expert/mentor.  Believe it was based on AF 3 5 7 9 system.

A lot of new equipment is true - the rental companies are ofter the first customers with orders so we get the first off the lines.  And we function test between calibrations so you learn how to use the equipment too.

The address given is correct- we are just off the 405 in San Fernando Valley.  High desert Palmdale/Lancaster 60+minutes in traffic is where a lot of our people not just techncians live.  I think Pasadena area is less than an hour and some parts of the valley are up to a half hour away.

We do keep a lot of people so I think its also a good place to work for experienced people too!

Best Regards,

Karl
