Position Description
Evans Analytical Groups Calibration Laboratory in Tempe, Arizona supports a variety of customers with Physical/Dimensional, DC/LF, and RF/Microwave calibration and repair services.    We have a current opening for a full time Calibration (PMEL) Technician to fulfill a key role in meeting current calibration needs, and improving and expanding the lab's capabilities for future growth.    

Responsibilities
Primary duties will be to provide quality calibrations to a diverse assortment of DC/LF and RF/Microwave test equipment as detailed below.    Additional duties include daily laboratory operations, such as: automated procedure development/debug (MetCal), environmental monitoring, uncertainty calculations, new procedure development, compliance with quality system requirements, troubleshooting and repairs, on-site calibrations at customer locations, and participation in ongoing projects to improve and expand laboratory capabilities and infrastructure. 

Requirements
5+ years combined experience in calibration, troubleshooting & repair of electrical/electronic measuring instruments, with expertise in the following metrology disciplines: DC Power Supplies and Loads, Multimeters (handhelds and precision, Digital Thermometers, Semiconductor Analyzers, Logic Analyzers, Electrometers and Picoammeters, ESD Wrist, Resistivity & Field Meters, LCR Meters, Function Generators, Oscilloscopes (to 20 GHz), RF Signal Generators, and Spectrum/Network Analyzers (to 26.  5 GHz)



Advanced calibration training (U.  S.   military PMEL or TMDE School or equivalent preferred). 
Ability to understand electronic circuits, theory and schematics. 
Computer skills including:  MS Office (Word and Excel), Database (such as MetTrack), Automated Calibration software (MetCal, Surecal, etc.  ). 
Capable of heavy lifting (>50 lbs). 
20% - 40% travel is required as well as the possibility of overnight travel. 
Valid Drivers License
