OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:  Provides Quality oversight to ensure compliance to ISO 17025, T. O.  00-20-14 and contract statement of work (SOW).   

TYPICAL DUTIES: 

•Ensure PMEL Quality Program is and remains in compliance and accordance with T. O.  00-20-14 and contract statement of work (SOW).
•Assists Quality Process Evaluator to ensure that all PMEL operations are completed on time and within budget and to quality standards.   
•Provides required PMEL schedules and reporting documents ensuring that all necessary actions are taken to correct quality assurance problems and deficiencies reported by Evaluators and Technicians.   
•Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance systems and activities.   Define and review all calibration documentation for compliance to internal and external calibration program. 
•Perform training on the Quality Program for user departments. 
•Audit lab equipment on an on-going basis for compliance.  Assist Laboratory personnel in implementation and maintenance of proper equipment procedures. 
•Conduct assessment of Out-of-Tolerance instrumentation as required. 
•Obtain and maintain laboratory certification by AFMETCAL.
•Other duties as assigned.

REQUISITE SKILLS:

•Metrology quality control and assurance and Calibration Laboratory Management
•Technical experience in TMDE calibration and repair. 
•Hands-on experience with the Air Force's Quality Management System, ISO standards, ANSI/NCSL Z-540, and ISO/IEC 17025, AFMETCAL Program functions and procedures, and National Institute of Standards and Technology.
•Hands-on experience with Quality Programs - management reviews/internal audits, trend analysis, and root cause analysis
•Must be able to attain and maintain a Government security clearance for access to classified information, facilities and equipment. 
•High degree of professional and interpersonal skills required


MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:

Education and Experience.   Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field or equivalent combination of training and experience and 8 plus years of recent PMEL Supervisory or AFMETCAL experience.  Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of all Air Force PMEL responsibilities outlined in Air Force Technical Order 00-20-14.  Candidate must have excellent organization communication and leadership skills.
