ISO-17025 Future?

Is there any truth to the murmur I've heard regarding ISO-17025 being on it's way out? I know that HP has stopped offering the ISO compliant calibration on certain items.

HP does not exist any longer in the T&M world either.   Agilent may have stopped offerring accreditied cals on there old obsolete equipment.   That happens alot.   Past that 17025 is going pretty strong, and the lack of support thus far for the new Z540 will probably just cause 17025 to get stronger.

I partly agree. 17025 is not going anywhere soon, however the new z540 is the way of the future. I already have customers demanding it. It really depends on the customer's requirements.

The accredited cal are no longer available on most power sensors, including E series sensors.  Attenuators, 11792's, 3335A's. . . . many of the items needed to maintain compliance.  What do you do?

You would first check to see if any other labs offer accredited calibrations for these items.  If no one offers an accredited calibration, you can use the manufacturer provided that they are giving data and measurement uncertainty.
