E4411B Spectrum Analyzer

I'm posting this from an e-mail I received, so I can't give any more details...

E4411B Spectrum Analyzer is out of tolerance (Freq Response) it is spec'd @ +/- .5dB bottom to top ours is .7db and it takes special software and equip to align it can you find out if any other lab has had this problem and if they can assist us.  We are DOWN for Phase noise.

Any help is appreciated.

Hmmm.

We our specan's freq response is out around that much as well. So our phase noise is down as well. Have you had any luck on the alignment?

I'm guessing that it's out of warranty?

This originally came to me via an e-mail that originated from Maxwell/Gunter, so I really don't have any more to offer.  The person to contact though, would be the site manager out there. Bob Hoffman @ DSN 596-3999.  He sent the e-mail and should at least be able to tell you what they had to do to get theirs up and going.
