Sierra 2770 Cal Procedure

Just wondering if there is a procedure for calibration. We had our 2760 repaired and upgraded. there is a k procedure for the 2760, but it does not include the upgraded version.

I don't know about the procedure, but I am curious about the work you had done on your 2760.  Can you give me some specifics?  Like who performed it for you, what difference there is between 2760 and 2770?  Was it through the AF or are you with a private company?

We've got two that are down and have been told by the IM that they would have a repair contract this fiscal year.  So we went ahead and got on order for them and were to turn ours in upon receipt of working units.  Just recently that order was canceled and I'm just wondering if it's because they will all be upgraded and have new stock numbers.

Anybody with any info on this??

I'm in saudi working for Bae systems, we sent both of ours to unique broadband systems in Canada, address is 400 spinnaker way, Concord,ONT, L4K 5Y9, Tel. no. 905-669-8533. Website is Uniquesys.com, I am not sure what the difference is but we cald it both to the K- proc. and to commercial data. The only difference i seen is the upgraded 2770 cannot be set to some of the pulse widths in the k-proc.

Thanks for the info tyty!  Maybe one of these days we'll get ours fixed... although I'm not holding my breath.

One last question.  Do you know if the new unit has any delay capability?  I'm just thinking about the A/A delay section of the 135 cal where you have all the pulse gens triggering each other, just to create a certain amount of delay between the 135's interrogation and the 2760's reply.  Since the 2760 is software controlled, I think it would be pretty simple to just add that function into the menu... always wondered why it wasn't that way.

the unit does have a pulse delay, i never really thought about trying it. I still follow the procedure for the 135's, but if i have some time, try it. maybe it can save some time and headaches.
