Can anyone tell me why it is such a pain in the ass to get metweb access?  You practically have to submit DNA just to get an account!  Because of the restrictions, labs usually only have a couple of accounts for their key personnel.  Shouldn't everyone in the lab have access???

With the amount of good information available on the site, it should be automatic for all of the 2P0X1 folks.  In fact, leadership thinks so highly of metweb, that they want it taught in the new 7-level course.

Are there any plans to get more people access anytime soon?  Wouldn't it be pretty painless to make it available through the AF Portal by AFSC like PAMS?  Just a thought...

I'll say no. I've had an account before as a TODO so I could retrieve any IOS's that weren't spread through official channels. I don't remember too much about it though. I'll just take a few of your words and say "key personnel". Everybody can feel free to apply though. I think its a form43.

There is way too much information on Metweb to have access limited.

The engineers are always putting little notes up on there. There are all kinds of approved temperature spreadsheets, even got alot of ITS90 spreadsheets. Way too much information there for only a few.

Well I've not seen it in a few years so my answer may be a bit outdated. I'm willing to change sides but don't see why I should. I'm not well informed on this one. I'll just say Spank My Hammer should be a ... politician?

We've got our own system, so I can't say.
I'd like more access to procedures, though the AF has made some available through GIDEP.
The sharing of info isn't yet as free as I'd like, up to a limit of sensitive stuff.
It's okay to be ignorant, as you can always ask questions, but there is no cure for stupidity.

If not for all, at least for all in the Air Force PMEL world!  Metweb lets you know what's happening at the top...well, near the top.  It's important for all PMEL techs to have access.

I haven't found it that difficult to get access for everyone here, might it be a problem with local management?

we sat down in a meeting and our whole lab filled out a one page form (per person) and now our whole lab has access. only upper management looks at it for the most part though
