Calibration Laboratory Technician Job Description

RH Systems is a small, family-owned business with a worldwide sales footprint looking for someone with a broad skill set. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an individual dedicated to excellence, enjoys small business culture, and is excited about the expansion of the organization.

Job Purpose:

Work from calibration procedures, technical manuals, schematics, specifications, drawings, written and verbal instructions to setup and complete calibrations in a timely manner.

Essential Job Functions:

· Use calibration standards to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE/process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and M&TE /process equipment manufacturer's performance specifications. To include but not limited to chilled mirrors, hygrometers, humidity sensors, temperature measurement devices, resistance measurement devices, and pressure measurement devices.

· Plan, check, set up, and operate, basic Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment.

· Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results.

· Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of basic laboratory and test-related problems.

· Route M&TE/process equipment between receiving area, customer, and calibration lab.

· Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork.

· Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes.

· Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear.

· Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes.

· Possess a working knowledge on the safe and correct use of various hand-tools and measuring/test equipment to accomplish desired results.

· Ability to create, modify and manage excel spreadsheets, CRM database, and word documents.

· Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

· ASQ Certification or PMEL/TMDE background preferred. Minimum work experience of 1 year.

· High level of proficiency and attention to detail to ensure all documentation, device records, inspection files and databases are complete and accurate.

· Maintain workload to achieve production schedules and ensure completion within timeframe.

· Capacity to solder electronic components, circuit boards, cables, etc. is preferred.

· Ability to retain and act on verbal directions.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with critical thinking capabilities.

· Multi-tasking and attention to detail.

· Be able to lift 50 pounds, sit/stand/walk for extended periods on a regular basis.

· As this position is technical in nature, the applicant should possess a strong mechanical aptitude with strong communication skills and have a team-centered focus, possessing a friendly, proactive personal style.

· Safety Oriented.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
