SENIOR CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN WITH SIGNING BONUS AT TESCOM - AUSTIN TEXAS
Tescom Calibration (tescomcalibration.com) has an immediate opening for a Senior Electronic Calibration Technician at our Austin Texas calibration laboratory.  This position includes a signing bonus.
We are seeking a highly skilled calibration technician with at least 10 years of commercial calibration experience in an ISO17025 Accredited calibration laboratory.
The successful applicant must have completed military PMEL or TMDE training (or equivalent). Must have RF/microwave calibration skills up to at least 26.5 GHz, including calibration of instruments such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, power sensors, attenuators. Must have general purpose test equipment calibration skills, including calibration of instruments such as oscilloscopes, pulse/function generators, DMM's, clamp meters, TC thermometers.
Some background in Thermodynamic calibrations of mid accuracy SPRT's and other types of temperature probes, and relative humidity calibrations. Some skills performing basic Physical/Dimensional calibrations (such as calipers, micrometers, scales/analytical balances, torque instruments, and others).
Other required skills include: experience with measurement uncertainty calculations, use of calibration recall databases (such as Indysoft), proper preparation of certificates of calibration, and use of MS Word and MS Excel, basic Ohms Law and other electrical calculations. Desirable skills include Met/Cal programming and experience using SureCal and National Instruments Calibration Executive.
Requires clean driving record, the ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted, and the ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Position includes a mixture of in lab work, and work at local customer sites. Position does not currently require overnight travel. Position is open only to persons residing legally in the U.S.
