Position Summary:

Our Field Service Technicians travel around the country going into Biomedical departments in hospitals and medical facilities to verify and calibrate their biomedical and general-purpose test equipment. The technician tests and calibrates electronic test equipment and in accordance with established procedures. They do not work on equipment that is used directly on patients and there is no patient interaction. Face to face customer service is a large part of the job.

In your role as a Field Service Calibration Technician you will be responsible for:
•     Performing routine and complex work related to the calibration and repair of biomedical and
       general-purpose measuring and test equipment (M&TE), in the fields of electrical, electronic,
       DC-Low Frequency, RF, pressure, temperature, flow, force, mass and other Metrology disciplines.
•     Effectively using computers, software, and automation systems as required in performance of
       assigned duties.
•     Enhancing quality through regulatory compliance and operating procedures, quality audits, work
       accuracy, documentation and cGDP practices.
•     Perform work in accordance with established processes and procedures.
•     Ensuring daily work is conducted in accordance with company policies concerning quality, ethics, 
       integrity, and standards of business conduct.
•     Promoting safety of self, fellow employees, customers, and the environment.

Other position details:

•     This position is based out of St. Charles, Missouri.
•     The position will be split as follows:
           o   Time on the road nationally (up to 1 month at a time) and
           o   Time locally in our In-House calibration lab in St. Charles, MO (day shift).
•     Travel will include overnights and weekend travel.
•     Technician will be provided a company van and equipment.  Job related expenses are covered by
        the company.
•     Technician will be provided 3-6 months of training (depending on experience) in our St. Charles, MO
        location.

We consider YOU because you have the following qualifications:


Education - required:
•   Associates degree or technical school 2 years completed program
        Skill Set - required:
•   Experience with electronics hardware installation, repair and/or calibration of general-purpose 
        Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE) (4 years' experience preferred)
•   Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, Word, and Access, with an emphasis on Excel
•   Ability to function independently and in various customer environments.
•   Interpersonal and communication skills.
•   Position requires flexibility and adaptability.
•   Must meet the requirements to drive a company vehicle (have and maintain a valid driver's license
        and good driving record)
•   Must be able to drive extended distances (1-4 hours between many sites but could be 8 or more
        hours for some all-day drives) and in all types of weather and terrain
•   Capable of lifting (50 pounds) unassisted.

Other Abilities a plus:
•      Biomed/Clinical Engineering/Healthcare Technology a plus (Ex: PMEL, TMDE, or BMET)
•      Previous experience with calibration or test equipment
       Compensation:  Salary plus Commission on Field Service work (approximately $70,000 annually)
