Has anyone repaired the rotary adjustment knob of the 33250A? We have a couple that skip or don't adjust at all which is a P.I.T.A.

It's just a rotary encoder.  It's a pretty simple to replace

I haven't for that model but I did for another sig gen and it is pretty easy like silv3rstr3 said.

go to Keysight.com and click on Find a Part at the bottom of the main page. Then find by Product number. Type in 33250A, and it will bring up a page with all parts. In the COMPONENTS/MEMORY section, there is a rotary encoder, part number 0960-2545 for $4.77 each (cheap). I believe this may be the part, but can't guarantee that that is what is actually failed.  Just a little input that might help.

Make sure when you re-install the font panel to remove the two screws on the front edges of the main PC board. (closest to the front panel)  If you don't you won't be able to get it back on.  You can pop it off with the screws in place but it's a lot easier without the chassis mounted to the main board.

Thank-you for the "rotary Encoder fix.  Fairly simple to replace and cheap.
