Bionetics is looking to fill Electronics Technician IIs at Hill AFB Type IIA PMEL.POSITION TITLE:   PMEL Technician II

LOCATION:   Hill AFB, UT

POSITION CLASSIFICATION:     Non-Exempt

SUPERVISOR:      Program Manager

HOURS:   6:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, some overtime hours may be occasionally required.

SALARY:   (IAW Union CBA)


JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Technician II is responsible for providing calibration and repair services on electronic, electro-mechanical, physical, dimensional, mechanical and optical Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) in the assigned laboratory.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
1. Minimum four (4) years experience as PMEL technician.
     a. Experience shall include inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, calibrating and certifying TMDE and laboratory working standards using safe working practices and utilizing the required documents/procedures
   
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be a U.S. Citizen, be able to acquire and maintain any and all necessary security clearances.
2. Thorough understanding of T.O. 00-20-14
3. Thorough understanding in the care and use of TMDE
4. Good working knowledge of the calibration and maintenance of physical, dimensional, mechanical and optical TMDE and calibration laboratory measurement standards
5. Good working knowledge of electrical, electronics, electromechanical, mechanical, physics, optics and thermal principles; mathematics and number systems
6. Knowledge of electrical theory, electronics and/or physics, and operating principles of TMDE
7. Knowledge required to read, interpret and analyze block, schematic and wiring diagrams, blueprints and technical publications
8. Proficiency in troubleshooting techniques; calibration traceability, metrology techniques and safe laboratory practices
9. Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Essential/Typical Duties:
•Maintain, repair and calibrate TMDE in the Electronics Lab(s)
•Perform general maintenance and overhaul procedures and use TMDE to troubleshoot and repair equipment
•Utilize current technical data in the performance of all duties
•Provides technical guidance and assistance to lower level technicians

Non-Essential Duties:
•Other related duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Occasionally requires Climbing, Stooping and Kneeling
•Often requires Reaching, Pulling, Pushing, Standing, Sitting, Walking, Talking and Hearing

Lifting/Moving Requirements:
•The ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required. 
•The ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements when calibrating certain TMDE.
